Action one

Add your name.

Membership is a public count of neighbors who want the whole truth before any vote. It is the fastest thing you can do, and everything else stands on it.

What membership is.

  • It is a count, not a commitment

Membership records that you want the whole truth before any vote. It costs nothing, and it does not obligate you to attend anything, donate anything, or sign anything else.

  • It makes the other two actions work

A public count of neighbors is what makes a full room on August 24 and a stack of docket comments read as a community rather than a handful of people.

  • You do not have to live here

Residency in Lowndes County is not required. Property owners, family, business owners, neighboring counties, and concerned Alabamians all count, and we record which you are.

  • We will not sell your information

We use your details to send updates and meeting reminders. That is all. We do not sell, rent, or share the list.

Membership records interest in this effort. It does not create an attorney-client relationship, does not enroll you in any lawsuit, and is not a claim of legal standing. Residency in Lowndes County is not required.

Protect Lowndes County is a residents’ group. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. On July 27, 2026 the Southern Environmental Law Center and the Natural Resources Defense Council filed a public-records request with the Lowndes County Commission on behalf of the Alabama Rivers Alliance and Protect Lowndes County; that filing is on our public record page. Outside of it, Protect Lowndes County has not authorized any organization to speak on its behalf, and no tax-exempt status is claimed.

We use your details only to send updates and never sell or share them.
