Pintlala Water System annual membership meeting
Annual membership meeting. The notice directs members who plan to vote to bring their certificate of membership and photo identification. Starts at 2:00 p.m., at the Pintlala Volunteer Fire Department meeting room.1
That one is a weekday morning. The next evening meeting, the one most people can get to, is September 28, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
The standing schedule
Twice a month, and the times are not the same.
The Commission holds two regular meetings a month: Second Monday of each month at 10 a.m., and fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. Both are at the Charles Smith Annex (Auditorium), 205 E Tuskeena Street, Hayneville. The county's own words are that "The public is welcome and encouraged to attend."
The difference matters. The second-Monday meeting starts at 10 a.m. on a workday, which rules most people out. The fourth-Monday meeting starts at 6 p.m., and it is the one this county has been filling all year. When this site says be in the room, it means that one.
To get an item on an agenda, the request has to reach the Lowndes County Commission Office by noon on the Thursday before the meeting. That is a real door, and it is open to any resident who wants an item heard rather than raised from the floor.

Dates are drawn from the Commission's regular schedule and from enacted statute. If a meeting is moved or cancelled, that is itself worth knowing: a May 2026 meeting was cancelled without the seven-day notice, which the county attorney acknowledged on the record.
